MISSION STATEMENT

The Will Of The People

"When I ran for City Council in 2020, I made you a promise; to always represent the will of the people and to be of service whenever possible. Since being sworn into the Division A seat in January 2021, I tried my best to fulfill that promise. "

"As your next ELECTED mayor, I will continue to do so."

"Gonzales is blessed with many gifts, a quality of life which convinced my wife (Mary Joseph-Riley) and I that Gonzales was the place to raise our family.  That was two decades ago, before Hurricane Katrina displaced so many to the city, and challenged Gonzales’ resources like never before."

"For too long, City Hall has placed the interests of developers over the PEOPLE.  Gonzales continues to attract population while insufficiently protecting existing residents.  Rising crime rates, adverse impact to drainage and traffic…the challenges are many.

Overdevelopment continues to threaten all that we hold dear as city infrastructure is strained to the breaking point.  Together we can meet the challenges confronting our beloved city.

Having spoken with many of you, I know you share these concerns.

I have tried to earn your support, and I will work hard until November 5th Election Day, to earn your vote as Gonzales Mayor."
